April - visit to radnor elementary school

On Wednesday, 4/24 Georgia and Eden visited Georgia’s fifth grade teacher at Radnor Elementary School to give a presentation and guide his students through an interactive activity on coral. Together, they built an edible model of a coral polyp with ingredients like bananas, Ritz crackers, licorice, etc. The students learned what coral is, why it is important in both the ocean and on land, and the status of coral reefs’ health today. Georgia and Eden hope to visit RES’s other fifth grade classrooms, and even visit a teacher of Eden’s at Wayne Elementary School in the near future!
